Space 1889 (GDW)

		A more traditional steampunk game than Castle Falkenstein . This RPG deals with science fantasy in the Jules Verne & H.G.Wells vein. The setting is well detailed and at the height of British Colonialism - Yes we did have an Empire that covered half the globe & with this game we can have most of the solar system as well ! Ether , a substance which separates the planets from each other has been discovered & several inventors have created ships that can fly through this substance . The system is nice & simple - suitable for beginners & expert alike - based around the use of a D6 . A fair lot of supplements were releaseed for this system including Sky Galleons of Mars & one of the best Gamesmasters Screens that I have ever seen - period . The main rulebook was one of the first non-TSR hardbacked games & this one had a SHINY cover (ooooh!) Unfortuantly this game died many years ago. Shame .
