Judge Dread (Games Workshop)

Based on the popular character from the 2000AD comic . An okay game but fairly limited in its outlook - realistically you can only play Judges (futuristic cops) and you are stuck in the rut of solving crime & hunting down criminals . The system was average - no more & no less . The main problem was that there was no real character development - PCs eat , sleep & breath The Law and that's about it . Good for one off sessions but as for campaigning - no , it wasn`t for me . This game has long disappeared now due to Games Workshops attitude to gaming (if we can`t sell a shitload of figures with the game we just don`t want to know - Bollocks to the official line that RPGs just don`t sell - GOOD RPGs sell guys . That says enough about your later standards of RPGs doesn`t it !!! - Sorry for that scathing comment but it just had to be said .Go back to your roots . GW made roleplaying successful in the UK but likewise Roleplayers made YOU what you are today , not Wargamers. Unless anyone from Workshop wants to try & prove me wrong - which they are welcome to try & do - That's the bottom line `cos Adrian said so !!!)
