This is
the original grand-daddy of CCG`s and it is still going strong today . In Magic you
control a wizard who is battling for domination over other wizards . You control lands
which in turn give you power which lets you summon creatures to your aid or cast spells to
improve your position & hopefully undermine your opponents . In a standard game you
start with 20 life points and you can win essentially by accomplishing one of two tasks :
Reducing your opponents life total to zero or removing cards from their deck so they are
unable to draw anymore . The game is essentially simple to play but difficult to master .
It has a huge number of different cards for players to use in the games and is highly
collectable with some of the earlier , more difficult to obtain cards exchanging hands for
several hundred dollars each . Wizards , the company producing the game , support it big
time offering scholarship awards and cash prizes to winners of big tournaments . Check
